Well, in today’s scenario most of the people are getting fitness freak. Hitting the gym at least once in a day should be your focus. It is an option to get out of stress, make networks and most importantly get in shape. Today everyone wish to look their best and the great way is to land in the gym. With the help of a good trainer, various equipment’s and besides, a lot of effort you can easily get in shape. There are several things that you need to avoid while being at the gym:

1. Don’t start a workout without first performing warm up

Prior to starting any type of workout it is imperative to perform warm up exercise. This increases the temperature of the muscles. One of the best ways to avoid injury during exercise and athletics is dynamic stretching.

2. Avoid lifting heavy weights alone

Did you hear about the “Buddy System”? Well, this is what is always suggested to do when you are willing to lift heavy weights? You should always have a good workout buddy as your spotter. A spotter helps you to make the correct move while lifting weight. The workout becomes more fun and efficient when you have a workout buddy around.

3. Don’t work out with a full belly

If you are planning to visit the gym within an hour of your big meal, then it may not sound good to your stomach. It may lead to ingestion such as diarrhoea, nausea, bloating or gas. So if you are planning for a hard workout which needs energy, it’s advised to give your body at least 2 hours for proper digestion. It is good to work out in the morning in empty stomach as at this time glycogen store is low and thus helps to burn more fat.

4. Never leave any gym equipment sweaty and gross

Gym etiquette is necessary to follow, so you should never leave any gym equipment followed by sweat. Always keep a hand towel handy to wipe off the sweat after using the equipment or paper towels are also available in the gym use them to keep the equipment clean.

5. Don’t feel hesitant to ask for help

If you are not aware of any equipment, then it is better to ask for help without any hesitation. I spend a lot of time in the gym and never saw anyone saying no for offering help. Usually people hit the gym with a common goal, so they are glad to help each other.

6. Always go for the proper gear

Your dress is more related to your proper work out and safety. You should always pick close toed shoes for gym. It is beneficial in protecting your feet from stubbing your toes. If you are willing to go for an athletic workout, then it is quite difficult to move without the right shoes.

7. Never go for incorrect Form

If you don’t know about a particular exercise then it’s better not to do it, as doing incorrectly could cause serious injury. It’s better to ask your personal trainer to help you with the correct form of exercise which is good for your body.

8. Avoid same routine everyday

To get your body in shape it needs to be placed under stress. But if you do the same exercise every day, your body will get used to it and would stop adapting. It is one of the big reasons of plateaus in fitness result. If, despite of doing hard work out there is no weight loss or loss of fat then, you should check your work out. If there is no change in your routine, then it is the main cause of stubborn stable weight.

9. Don’t rush through exercise

Rushing through exercise will not do anything good to you. People who just rush through the exercise only land up in defeating the purpose of the exercise. To make sure you get the complete benefit of your workout it is advisable to do proper repetition of every exercise. Ensure to opt for correct form so that you feel the pressure on the exact muscles where it is required.

10. Never neglect static stretching

Post workout when your muscles are still warm it is the perfect time to hold the stretch for a long time. This static stretching enhances the range of mobility, motion besides helping your body to recover. Static stretch should be at least hold on for 30 seconds.

These are some of the things you need to avoid at the gym to get your body the perfect shape. Taking care of every minute thing would get you the best result.
